Technology developed by UbiCast and embedded into EasyCast stations enables automatic framing of a presenter in movement and of pre-defined zones when the presenter approaches them.

To achieve this, EasyCast combines the following elements into a user-friendly and hassle-free experience:

  • Modern robotic pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) network cameras, essentially built by SONY and intended for high-end video-surveillance. These robust, rotating cameras use IP technology to transfer video to the EasyCast station and receive movement and zoom orders from it.
  • Tracking algorithms that analyse the video feed from the camera in order to send appropriate commands.

When an EasyCast system is installed in a room, zones of interest such as whiteboards, lecterns, etc. are defined a single time. For following recordings, the presenter simply presses the "Record" button and dynamic recordings are automatically produced.

EasyCast detects slide changes and automatically captures high resolution snapshots of the presenter's screen. This technology uses a proprietary image analysis algorithm, which has multiples advantages :

  • This automation feature works regardless of the presentation software that is used (PowerPoint, Keynote, PDF,...)
  • The presenter doesn't need to install software of his or her computer
EasyCast captures slides in a transparent manner for the presenter. The objective of this is to not change the presentation habits of the speaker.
