Touchscreen UI

Touch-screen technologies are particularly adapted for non-specialist users : for example, by pressing down on a zone of the video feedback, the camera is able to center the point. This enables easy and intuitive camera angle positioning.

Contrary to materiel interfaces (buttons, sliders, etc.), visual interfaces can adapt themselves to the system they control : the type and amount of devices connected to the global system will modify their aspect. The interface thereby optimizes the use of screen space and apparent menus are kept to a minimum, also hiding unnecessary tools and controls.

A touch screen is especially the perfect control interface for a room-based appliance. Even if the screen is not fixated, it offers a robust and compact control medium especially in environments where other entry systems (keyboard and mouse, for example) are less adapted.
